Shalom, Moti 10/11/23

It is with a great sense of both pride and trepidation that I tell you my husband, Moti, returned to Israel today, carrying with him as many supplies as possible. He is older than the men in the return pictures (@hananyanaftali), and comes with a variety of back issues, but it is literally all-hands-on-deck.

Earlier this week, the IDF called upon 300,000 reservists, expecting some attrition in that number: 320,000 showed up. Another 70,000 are trying to return to Israel to help. Israelis are clamoring to get home.

Moti's bags will head to Maccabi Haifa, a true partner to non-profits helping Israel, and his former basketball club. When Tikkun Now can't send money or supplies directly, they house things while we facilitate distribution. Their operation looks like Amazon right now and it's incredible.
